Today is the 5th anniversary of the moment when Matt Dallas appeared naked during an unconventional birth in a forest when Kyle XY made its world television debut on ABC Family in 2006.  Although our own eyes are fixed firmly on The Dallas’ current projects and bright future, we’ve joined in with Kyle XY’s online community and loyal fanbase to indulge in some unadulterated nostalgia. In loving memory, we’ve been posting photos from the show’s set on our MDW Facebook Page amongst other funky little Kyle XY-related things…

After the show was suddenly not renewed for a fourth season and ended on a cliffhanger, the good news is that, of course, there is life after Kyle XY… Matt has been involved in several film projects and has his fingers in several different pies. Jaimie Alexander (Jessi XX) has been working steadily, most notably as war goddess, Sif, in Kenneth Branagh’s hit movie, Thor; while Corey Monteith (Amanda’s cheating boyfriend, Charlie) has found global fame as Finn in Fox’s musical phenomenon Glee.  Kirsten Prout (Amanda) won the part of Lucy in the Twilight Saga’s Eclipse and will be seen again on ABC Family’s upcoming The Lying Game. And on it goes, with other cast members making names for themselves in film, on TV or through music.

So…rest in peace, Kyle XY, and know that you continue to live on in the hearts (and media players) of millions all over the world…
